CAN CASES FOREST PARK

Can Cases Forest Park

The Can Cases Forest Park is an essential space for the municipality of Martorell, both for its status as a public-use forest and for its recreational function and as a setting for environmental education activities.

This park has barbecues, 23 wooden picnic tables, children’s play areas, parking, and a sports area with basketball and football courts. The park is ideal for outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, mountain biking, or horseback riding.

It is also a great place for observing vegetation: the typical Mediterranean holm oak forest is the most representative community, along with the riparian woodland that accompanies watercourses. The park also features conifers and riparian trees.

Regarding fauna, more than 70 bird species, 30 butterfly species, as well as some amphibians and reptiles typical of the Mediterranean area, such as the river turtle, and mammals such as badgers, foxes, genets, shrews, and wild boars, have been observed.

Since May 2014, the Can Cases Forest Park has had an orienteering course of about 2.5 km running along well-marked paths and trails. All information about the route can be found at the link located on the left side of the website.

The parking lots are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the year, making the park an accessible and attractive space for visitors and residents.
